Cook and Connect with Art Gene.

Are you aged 17 to 22? Do you enjoy trying new foods?

Are you interested in developing your cooking and teamwork skills whilst making new friends?

Then sign up for our series of free Cook and Connect workshops with the friendly Art Gene team. The informal sessions will take place 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Thursdays, except in week one when there will be an extra introduction session:

To register, please email Emily.Bari@westmorlandandfurness.gov.uk by 25 September. Please only apply if you think you can commit to attending all or most of the sessions. There are limited spaces.

Over 7 weeks you will take part in 8 workshops centred on cooking together and sharing food. These sessions will be facilitated by cooks Faye and Kate who will help participants plan and make dishes which they enjoy or have significance for them. You’ll learn how to cook different dishes and share your skills (even if they are basic!) The focus will be on having fun and enjoying delicious food. The sessions are free of charge.

All workshops take place in Studio 6 at Art Gene, in the Nan Tait Centre, Bath Street, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria LA14 5TY.
